Q. Five people are competing in a tug of war game. Three are on the left side pulling with 210, 240, and 250 Newtons (N) of force. Two people are on the right side pulling with 300 and 250 Newtons of force. Choose a scale (ed. 1 square =50 Newtons). Draw a vector to represent each of the two teams. Find the vector sum using tip to tail addition and draw the resultant vector. Calculate the magnitude of the resultant. Who will win the tug of war game and with how much force will they win? (What is the force of the rope?)
