A conducting rod of length L moves with velocity v parallel to a long wire carrying a steady current I. The axis of the rod is maintained perpendicular to the wire end a distance r away as shown in the figure below.

A) Find the magnitude of the emf |e|, induced in the rod.

B) If L = r, I = 10 A, and v= 5m/s. What is the value of the induced emf? Show all work and a good rating will be recieved!
