Consider a car driving at constant velocity. The force of friction acting on the car in Newtons is:

f = 300 + 1.8 v^2 where v is in m/s. The first term is due to friction between the tires and the road; the second term is air drag.

a. Find the magnitude of f when v = 50 miles/h.

b. Find the magnitude of f when v = 65 miles/h

c. Given your answers above, describe an advantage to driving at 50 miles/h instead of 65 miles/h.
