You work for Wham-O! Computer Inc. in its product testing department. Your job is to perform "shock tests" on the laptop computers whereby you drop the laptops onto the floor and find the average force that acts on the laptops. You want to simulate real world conditions so in one specific test you drop a laptop from a height of 0.940 meter.

(a) Find the laptop velocity right before it hits the floor?

m/s

The laptop has a mass of 3.20 kilogram, and it comes to a rest 0.0250 sec after striking the floor.

(b) Find the change in momentum of the laptop as measured from right before it hits the floor to when it finally comes to rest?

kgm/s

(c) Find the average force that acts on the laptop during this time?

N
