A signal, modulated by an acousto-optic device is directed into one of several channels using a SLM switch. In each channel it is coupled into an optical fiber using a system of lenses. If the length of each fiber is 500m, find the intermodal delay and the maximum achievable bit rate. How many channels can be connected to the SLM switch considering each channel's data capacity and the modulation speed of the acousto-optic modulator.
