A 220 V unsaturated shunt motor has an armature resistance (including brushes and interpoles) of 0.04 W and the field resistance of 100 Ω. Find
(a) the value of resistance to be added to the field circuit to increase the speed from 1200 to 1600 rpm, when the supply current is 200 A,
(b) With the field resistance as in
(a), find the speed when the supply current is 120 A. If the machine is run as a generator to give 200 A at 220 V, find
(b) the field current at 1300 rpm, and (d) the speed when the field current is 2 A.
Use a K-Map to design a circuit that has two operations. In mode 1, it outputs the value of the 3-bit input multiplied by 3. In mode 2, it outputs the number of 1's in the 3-bit input. Design a circuit that implements this function.
Llooking at the distribution transformers failure trend it shows a high rate in wet season than in the dry seasons. what could be the likely contributing factors
The value of the element in the first column is the number of the row. The rest of the elements are equal to the sum of the element above them and the element to the left. When executed, the program asks the user to enter values for n and m.
Calculate the series and parallel resonant frequencies of the crystal. - The magnitude and phase of the overall electrical impedance of the crystal at the above frequencies.
A corporation purchased a machine for $60,000 five years ago. It had an estimated life of 10 years and an estimated salvage value of $9,000. The current book value of this machine is $22,500. If the current market value is $40,000.
A nameplate is given in Example 17.2. Find the rated torque, rated volt amperes, and maximum continuous output power for this motor.
The preceding example demonstrated the required amplitude response of the VSB filter. We now consider the phase response. Assume that the VSB filter has the following amplitude and phase responses for f > 0:
Teh energy stored in a 2H inductor os 130 J and is increasing at 200 J/s at t=4s. A) Determine the current magnitude at t=4s. B) Determine the voltage magnitude at t=4s.
Most motorcycles have engine speed tachometers, as well as speedometers, as part of their instrumentation. What differences, if any, are there between the two in terms of transducers?
The objective of this lab experiment is to introduce you to assembly language programming for solving mathematical problems. You will use DEBUG to conduct this lab. Consider the following: The sun is 93,000,000 miles from the Earth. The speed..
Discuss the various ways to recognize transistor saturation and Discuss the advantages of using an emitter bias configuration
What is the new resistance level of a copper wire if the length is changed from 200ft to 100yd, the area is changed from 40,000CM to 0.04 in.^2, and the original resistance was 800m ohms. CM stands for circular mill not cm^2.
