A particle of mass m is constrained to move in a vertical plane that is rotating with constant angular velocity, , around a vertical axis. Gravity is acting downward on the particle. Think of a mass sliding around frictionlessly between two constraining surfaces. Let x be the horizontal axis and y is the vertical axis. Find the equations of motion for the x and the y directions and solve the. Also comment on the presence or lack of a Coriolis force.
