Two thin, positively charged rods are placed along the x-axis and y-axis. Each rod is 3.00m in length, and is a distance 1.00m from the origin. The vertical rod has a linear charge density of Lambda = 3y C/m and the horizontal rod has a linear charge density of lambda = 2x C/m.

a) Find the electric field produced by each rod individually at the origin.

b) Find the magnitude and direction of the total electric field at the origin.
