A certain heat engine starts at point A as shown in the diagram at a temperature of 400oC. The engine uses a monatomic gas and has three steps. First, there is an isothermal expansion to 5 times the original volume, then an isochoric pressure and temperature drop, and finally, an adiabatic compression back to point A.
