The eyepiece of a compound microscope has a focal length of 2.70 centimeter, and the objective lens has f = 0.740 centimeter. An object is located 0.790 centimeter from the objective lens. Suppose a normal eye and that the final image is at infinity. Find the distance between the lenses when the microscope is adjusted for a relaxed eye. Determine the total magnification.
