A wire forms a loop in the shape of an equilateral triangle. A magnetic field of magnitude 1.30 T passes through the loop such that the field is perpendicular to the plane of the loop. During a time interval of 15.0 ms, the loop is rapidly reshaped into a circle. Find the diameter of the circle if the magnitude of the average potential induced around the loop during this process is 2.10 V.
Answer: 3.90 cm
Please explain!
Draw two pictures: the initial triangle and the final circle. Label relevant information.
Write the version of Faraday's Law with the area changing.
Write the expression for the area of the triangle in terms of the length of one side of the triangle.
Write the expression for the area of the circle in terms of the diameter of the circle.
The perimeter of the triangle must equal the circumference of the circle... write the equation.
