A shunt dc motor has RA= .1 ohmn and VT = 440 V. For an output power of 50 hp, we have nm=1500 rpm and IA = 103 A. The field current remains constant for all parts of this problem. a. Find the developed power, power lost in RA, and the rotational losses. b. Assuming that the rotational power loss is proportinal to speed, find the no-load speed of the motor.
