Companies like Nestle publicly make sustainability their target, and have a variety of reports that demonstrate how they are trying to make the world a better place, and be an agent for positive change. If you read any of their reports and commitments, it exudes the vibe of a company that is serious about issues of sustainability.

However, please read this report of how companies like Nestle are actively participating in programs that make the global population unhealthier. Please read the report carefully. It repeatedly references Nestle, though we could be talking about other food companies as well, such as the European Unilever, the US-based Pepsico, or a number of others.

Give the major role of corporations in society. I have two tasks for you for this discussion. You can respond to one issue or another or both.

-Do you find the claims of Nestle that it values sustainability over profits to be credible or simply a case of window dressing? If you could advise Mark Schneider the CEO of Neslte in this regard, what would you say? Feel free to be frank, but professional.

-Would you recommend greater oversight of corporations by governments? In this case, should the Brazilian government try and control Nestle's actions?
