Introduction to Computing - MATLAB Programming Lab Assignment - KU Basketball Analysis

To Do:

• (OPTIONAL) Create a folder in your U: drive and name it EECS-138. Saving files in the U drive would allow you to access the folder and files anywhere within campus with your KU ID as login.
• Open MATLAB. Use the editor to type in commands for the rest of this lab assignment. You can check your commands in command window before typing them in the editor.

1. Game results of KU's men's basketball for season 2014-15 and 2015-2016 are in the excel file. Use 'xlsread' to import the data to variables A1 and A2 respectively.

2. For season 14-15 and 15-16, find the maximum score of KU and the game number for that games. Use (a) A1_max_14_KU and (b) A2_max_15_KU for storing maximum scores and (c) A1_gn_max_14_KU and (d) A2_gn_max_15_KU for storing game numbers for the respective seasons accordingly.

3. For season 14-15 and 15-16, find the maximum score of others and the game number for that games. Use (a) A1_max_14_other and (b) A2_max_15_other for storing maximum scores and (c) A1_gn_max_14_other and (d) A2_gn_max_15_other for storing game numbers for the respective seasons accordingly.

4. Find the average score of KU for season 14-15 and 15-16 and assign it to avg_14 and avg_15 respectively.

Deliverables:

• Save your script as test_lab2.m and match all the answers with the excel file to ensure they are correct.
• If everything looks okay save as your script (.m) as yourlastName_yourfirstName_lab2.m
• Submit a copy of your renamed script file on Blackboard under Assignment #02.
