Suppose that a small incandescent light bulb (R=2.88 kilo ohms) is connected to a standard European household AC electrical socket (240.-V rms voltage and 50.0 Hz frequency).

a. Find the average power dissipated by the light bulb.

b. As accurately as possible, graph the power as a function of time (0, 5, 15, 20, 25 ms)

The same light bulb (R= 2.88 kilo ohms) is instead connected to in series with an inductor (L=14.4H) and a large DC voltage supply (Vb= 240 V) (Assume that the solenoid and battery both have zero internal resistance). The switch is closed at time t= 0

c. Find the value of the power dissipated by the light bulb after a very long period of time

d. Find a mathematical expression for the power dissipated by the light bulb as a function of time t.

e. Graph the power dissipated by the light bulb as a function of time (0, 5, 15, 20, 25 ms)
