A block of mass M is attached to a spring (spring constant k) which is attached to a wall. The block lies on a frictionless surf. A bullet of mass m and speed vo (kinetic Energy= 0.5m Vo^2) strikes the mass and gets embedded in it. Assume all the energy goes to move the block. what is the amplitude of the resulting simple harmonic motion?
