An elevator of mass M2 has hanging from its ceiling (on a massless string) a mass M1.  The elevator is being accelerated upward by a constant force F [F greater than (M1 + M2)g].  The mass M1 is initially a distance s above the elevator floor.

Find the acceleration of the elevator.
