A production manager knows that 5.5% of computer chips produced by a particular manufacturing process have some defect. A random sample of 5 computer chips are selected, whose characteristics can be assume to be independent of each other, were examined. Let X denotes the number of defective computer chips.

a) Explain how X is distributed?

b) Construct a probability distribution for the number of defective computer chips.

c) Represent graphically the probability distribution for (a) above.

d) Find the probability that;
i. Exactly 2 computer chips are defective
ii. Between 4 to 5 computer chips are defective

e) What is the expected value of defective computer chips? Explain.
