Sometimes solubility can be increased by removing a ion in solution by adding a reactant to combine with one of the ions formed. Consider an aqueous mixture made by adding 0.1 mole of Fe(OH)3 (solid) to 1 Liter of water. Most of the solid did not dissolve because the Ksp of ferric hydroxide is very small at 3 x 10^-39. However, when a certain amount of strong acid was added, the entire amount of solid dissolved. Determine the pH of the solution at that point that the entire iron (III) hydroxide dissolved.
