Suppose that the substance studied in the lab is 62.1% carbon, 27.6% nitrogen and 10.3% hydrogen. Determine the molecular formula for the compound.
Experimentally I determined the compound to be around 69g/mol, though the experiment had a high amount of experimental error, other lab groups had values all the way up to around 80g/mol. I know to determine the molecular formula, first the empirical formula must first be determined.
