An old bottle of HCl was taken from the stockroom and a titration analysis was performed on it. The bottle of this acid lost its label years ago so the molarity was unknown. To start with 20 mL from the bottle was placed into a small flask and a few drops of the phenolphthalein indicator added. The solution was then titrated with 4M NaOH solution until the mixture in the flask turned pink. At this point exactly 37 mL of NaOH was used. From this information determine the molarity of the hydrochloric acid in the old bottle from the stockroom.

1. 7.4 Molar HCl

2. 6.3 Molar HCl

3. 5.3 Molar HCl

4. 5.1 Molar HCl

5. 4.7 Molar HCl
