Using the Pocket Guide to Herbal Medicine, the internet, and a trip to a health food store, read about and compare three different herbs. For each herb, find one standardized and one non-standardized brand (six total products). Using the table below, write down what is on the bottle in the Supplement Facts Panel and Ingredients as well as the price.

Then write a 2-page report on the differences that you found with each herb from the store and from your references. Did the supplements with standardization cost more? Were there other interesting differences like GMP or organic stamps on the standardized products? How do the dosages on the bottle compare to the dosages recommended from Pocket Guide to Herbal Medicine or other reputable references found? How many supplements would you have to take daily to get therapeutic recommended dosages? Were the herbs in standalone products or in combination with other herbs and/or vitamins and minerals? Compare the costs.
