Read the Hippocratic Oath and anything you can find on the Internet about Hippocrates. In this document, Hippocrates says he won't perform an abortion, perform euthanasia, do not harm, nor will he perform surgery. How do you interpret Hippocrates on these four issues (hint: he couldn't be speaking for all health care providers, and in the case of "do no harm" he couldn't be addressing this issue without exception)? And is he saying they are ethically wrong to do or does he have another reason for why he won't perform them? Explain your answers in detail. As a health care provider, can you commit to this oath and prescribe to the same beliefs Hippocrates has on these issues (given your interpretation of what he is saying)?
