A certain cablecar in San fransisco can stop in 10 sec upon the application of the brakes while traveling at full speed Upon seeing a dog ahead of the car the driver instantly applies the full brakes and reaches the point where the dog sat just as the dog jumped out of the way . at this point the brakes had been applied for 8sec. the car continues to roll an additional 2 sec for a distance of 4 meters. How far was the cable car from the dog when the driver started to brake?
