Question: Now that the structure has been defined, lets apply a load and verify that the structural analysis software is working correctly. Apply a 1 lbf load at J2 downward; see Figure 3 for this loading location (shown by a downward arrow). Make sure you run this analysis as a 2d truss. Your boss wants you to verify the axial loading from Mastan 2 against that of hand calculations. She has provided a joint view of J10 and asked that you solve for Fl and F2.
Compare this to Mastan 2. Do your results match, why or why not ? Provide the hand calculations as to how you solved for Fl and F2. Also, show a snip of the axial loading diagram for J 10.
you cannot use joint equilibrium here. You will need to solve your way up to that joint. So start with the trusses reactions and solve for the vertical component at J1 and then once you have J1 you can solve for member F1 forces. Hopefully, from there, you can figure out the rest.
need help with problem 5 (attached) only hand calculations. After find force balance equation we need to solve our way to the joint. The answer is F1 = -1.237 and F2 = -0.249. N1 to N2 = 6.72 inches and N2 to N10 = 6.72 inches I can’t seem to get the right answer. Please let me know if you understand the question and if it’s possible for you to help.
