A receiver consists of a bandpass filter of center freq 10Mhzand 100Mhz flatpassband followed by wideband detector and thenfollowed by a flat lowpass filter of 10khz bandwidth.The input tothe receiver is a modulated wave of 0.3W average power and Gaussian noise of one-sided power spectral density of 10-8W/Hz.
1.if the detector is an envelope detector and the modulatedwave is A(1+0.8cos1000t)cos(6.28x1000000t),find the average signalto noise power ratio at the receiver output.
2.If the detector is an FM detector and the modulated wave isAcos(6.28x107t+4cos6.28x105t),find the average power signal to noise ratio at the receiver output.
3.Sketch the phase deviation for 0-2 milli sec of an FMcarrier modulated by a 1Khz square wave of amplitude + or - 2volts.The modulator sensitivity is 10KHz/volt.
