1. You are a project manager about to acquire your project team. Your project will be organized following a matrix structure. Your organization is following public health guidelines for the current COVID-19 situation and has a Work-from-Home policy.
List and describe three (3) tools and techniques that are available to use to acquire your team. Which tools and techniques would you use and why?
2) Using the same project situation as in question #1, you have now acquired your project team. You realize that a few of the team members do not have the full set of skills and/or strengths that you require. List and describe three (3) approaches you would use to develop these team members.
3) Again, this question follows the same project situation as in questions #1 and #2. In one of your one-on-one Zoom meetings with Jordan (a project team member), they tell you this when you ask about the progress of their design document (which you expect to be 50% complete today): "You had better ask Alex. I've been waiting and waiting for the requirements document to be sent to me and I haven't heard a peep about it. Not one peep! Every time I send an email asking about it, I get nothing in return. Nothing! I am so frustrated! I can't be expected to turn around the design document if I have no requirements to base it on. I have no idea why Alex hasn't said a word and, honestly, I don't think I can work with Alex anymore if this keeps up!"
A) What type of conflict are you dealing with here?
B) Describe what approach you would use in this situation to find an optimal, permanent solution.
