Assignment:

Find a clip of sexual behavior portrayed in a movie. Use your knowledge about sexual scripts, key assumptions of sex, and compulsory heteronormativity and about how it adheres to the sexual script. Be as specific as possible - who initiates it, what specific behaviors does it involve, when is it over, where does it take place, how long does it last and how do each of these adhere to media scripts.

Knowing what you know about sexual scripts - how would you describe sex to your current/future child that would not reinforce the gender binary or the Androcentrism of our society if they were to ask. Can you think of any media examples of a sexual script that violates our norm and would be beneficial rather than detrimental to our sexual socialization.
