We will discuss, and likely disagree about, this, but I will argue that it is odd to make the first statement just because many Americans have great healthcare. This strikes me akin to suggesting that a poor kingship has great care because when any royal family member takes ill, she or he is quickly flown to one of best doctors and hospitals in the world. A better way to assess healthcare, it seems to me, is to look at the total distribution of care and, especially, what a typical or average patient receives.
