A financial market is a comprehensive term used to define any marketplace where buyers and sellers participate in the exchange of assets such as currencies, bonds, derivatives and equities. Financial markets are typically classified as having transparent basic regulations on trading, pricing, market forces determining the prices of securities that trade, and costs and fees.

Financial markets can be found in nearly every part of the world. Some are very small, with only a few participants, while others - like the Forex markets and the New York Stock Exchange - trade trillions of dollars daily.

Identify one type of financial market and then discuss a current trend happening within that market. Introduce the financial market to your classmates by describing it and discussing the type of financial exchanges that occur.
