In this, you will deliver an extemporaneous informative presentation. As this is an informative, rather than persuasive presentation your goal is to simply explain, describe or teach something. You may present on any topic that interests you. Perhaps it's something you are already knowledgeable about, or perhaps it's something you've always wanted to learn more about. The following ideas might give you a start:
• Describe a trip you've taken, to punjab providing your audience with insight on traveling to this location.
• Explain how it is working at a bank
• Introduce your audience to a hobby or passion of yours.
• Teach the audience how to do something you know how to do well (e.g. solve a rubrics cube, perform a self-defense maneuver, manage their time effectively, make your favourite dessert or the perfect steak, etc.)
Use a consistent and clear document format that identifies the following in a logical order:
Introduction:
o Attention getter
o Topic (may not be specifically stated, but implied in the speech)
o Motivator or Rationale (may not be specifically stated, but implied in the speech)
o Authority or Credibility
o Preview (may not be necessary to include specifically)
Body:
o Main points and sub-points
o Developing details (data, quotes, story, demo, etc.) for each main point/sub-point; identify outside sources, if used.
Conclusion:
o Summary and/or
o Final statement reinforcing significance of presentation (may bookend the attention getter)
Transitions:
o Verbal signposts to indicate new point or direction in the presentation
Most of your outline will be written in point form, with only enough detail for you to understand the direction and development of your presentation; however, you may find it helpful to write out full sentences for some elements (e.g. attention-getter, quotes, and transitions). See sample outlines located under Informative Presentation Resources for ideas on how to effectively structure your outline.
