Assessment
Develop a detailed report on a case study relevant to the capital structure of an organization and its financial resources and how these relate the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), using problem solving skills and knowledge acquired in class, and submit a detailed research report of minimum 2,000 words.
Assessment Requirement:
Students are required to address the following questions:
1. Identify the different elements of capital structure (sources of financing).
2. Appraise each element of the capital structure highlighting their advantages and disadvantages.
3. Estimate the cost of capital components and the company's overall cost of capital (WACC) of Coleman Co., and compare it with the expected rate of return.
4. Critically analyze the feasibility of the project of Coleman Co., and conclude the analysis with a financing decision.
