"When filing an insurance claim, there are 5 steps that are followed to submit the claim from start to finish. This is referred to as a billing workflow. Using all 5 steps, create a fictional scenario that demonstrates how services rendered for a patient visiting a doctor’s office with a severe cough and fever would be handled. Be sure to include all 5 steps and describe each in terms of your scenario. In your scenario, be sure to include what information you would gather from the patient to contact the insurance company to verify benefits and coverage information. Also, include information on how to precertify or preauthorize a patient’s benefits before providing services."
