Background
You work as a junior mobile developer in a company (GCC-Mobile Ltd) that specialises in mobile services. The Emerging Technology Group in the company conduct research in latest and upcoming technologies. One of their stated goals is to promote cutting edge mobile development methods and skills in the projects run by the company. This practise gives competitive advantage for the company and they remain ahead of the curve and provide customers highly creative and innovative solutions. The team builds on established mobile development techniques, methodologies architectural models. Research and experimentation on these models is a key part to extend and adapt architecture-centric theories and practices for the mobile engineering domain. You will show knowledge, understanding, critical insight and research skills by producing research report in the field of Mobile Development and emerging standards:
1. Mobile Devices & Capabilities
2. 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G
3. Mobile Operating Systems evolved and related importance.
4. Applications and future directions. The report will used by Emerging Technology Group and it will help them with their stated goal.

You have just signed off after completing a major project for a leading communications firm as a junior mobile developer. You are progressing well within GCC-Mobile. A position has arisen for a project to work for the SME client (F&F Designs). The client provides designer clothes and accessories for their clients e.g. media productions and advertisement industry. Most of their existing customers come from referrals by existing clients and word of mouth. The company wants to extend their business and reach out to new customers and general public. For this purpose they consider a new website and a mobile app as a crucial tool in achieving their goal.You will design a mobile app using suitable design tools. The company (F&F Designs) will use the mobile app to project their presence and services on offer. The mobile app should be simple to use and must consider customer experience when using the site.
The minimum requirements include:
1. Simple mobile interface (yet professional looking)
2. Some sort of system to link the pages
3. App should display welcome message and brief background
4. Visual representation of some of the services completed
5. Contact area (preferably address map pulled from Google Map or similar)
6. Some sort of visual/audio prompt to draw customers attention on special offer
7. Event handling capabilities for user interactions through touch screen.
8. A game for user engagement and marketing purposes (optional)You need to provide design documentations e.g. annotated sketch diagrams/wire-frames; colour schemes and style patterns etc. in your report. The report will show the steps taken for accuracy and accessibility in the design e.g. checks on user input, different colour patterns for visually impaired etc.You will develop and test the mobile app using suitable technologies. You will provide a test table and corresponding evidence of test results.
Note: The tests will be carried out for errors, functional requirements, usability, consistency, integration, layout & style and accessibility.
