In order to get a deeper sense of AI principles, you are asked to write an essay in which you will need to research, analyze, and write about a cutting-edge discovery in the world of AI and machine learning.
Write a essay on one of the following recent discoveries in AI. Explore the concepts that are the foundation to these discoveries, how they work, and any future implications behind them.
1. Autonomous vehicles or self-driving cars are already a reality in some cities around the world. What was the reason behind this invention? What software logic and hardware are needed to allow these cars to drive without hitting pedestrians or other vehicles? What legislation had to be passed to allow these cars on the road? Are there any moral issues?
2. Language models, like GPT-2, make it possible for computers to write sentences, essays and maybe even novels. What were the humble beginnings of this technology? What algorithm is used to achieve this? What could we use this type of AI for in the future?
3. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that utilizes layered artificial neural networks. In a sense, the goal is to create an artificial brain that can think on its own.
