Question

You receive report on a patient post percutaneous coronary intervention. You are told that the patient had a femoral arterial access for the procedure. In report you are told that the patient is 4 hours post procedure without complication and that the dressing is dry and intact. After ambulating to the bathroom the patient complains of abdominal pain and that their dressing is bloody. On assessment, you confirm these findings. Describe any concerns you may have.
