J. M. is a 22-year-old female with a past medical history of asthma who comes to the office with complaints of "fatigue, wheezing, coughing, and difficulty breathing". On physical examination, her vital signs are BP: 125/75, HR: 95, RR: 24, T: 98.4. The patient has mild supraclavicular retractions. Upon auscultation of the lungs, the family nurse practitioner notes inspiratory and expiratory wheezing, and cardiac auscultation reveals regular rate and rhythm, no S3, S4, murmurs, or gallops.
