Question

If the federal government were to raise the income tax rates, would this have any impact on states cost of borrowing funds and why? (Yes, if the federal government raises income taxes, demand for municipal bonds which are federal income tax exempt will increase. This would lower the interest rate of the municipal bonds and thus lowering the state cost of borrowing funds.)
