The patient has type II diabetes mellitus and was admitted with sepsis. The patient has severe skin breakdown with a bright red rash with satellite lesions around the groin, upper thigh, lower abdomen and suprapubic area. You decide the best plan of treatment for this is: Question 59 options: Continue w/ IV antibiotics, implement good skin care, including use of an antifungal. Continue w/ IV antibiotics, start using petroleum jelly as a barrier cream and 0.1% triamcinolone cream. Continue w/ IV antibiotics and implement good skin cleansing, drying and use a barrier cream.
