Assume you are making a call on the senior procurement agent of the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. The Disney Studios, with annual revenues of about $3 billion, makes blockbuster movies each year with titles such as The Jungle Book, Finding Dory, Captain America: Civil War, and Rogue One. On set, during setup and filming, the various personnel need to communicate with one another. In the past, each person has used his or her own private cell phone, or director’s shouting, or walkie talkies to achieve this communication. The use of private cell phones can sometimes be challenging, however, due to various plans, phone types, differences in charging cords, and other technical issues. If all personnel had a single type of phone, then the studio could contact them more easily. Plus, each phone could be set up with private access to a wealth of information and private apps to link to such things as scripts, scene takes, communication and updates about schedules, and so forth. You are making a call with the intention of eventually securing an order for 500 smartphones that will be used by the various people on set. The phones will be fully functional, allowing the use of all features, with the exception of overseas long-distance calls. Questions
