The generally accepted ethical role of the Attorney is to act as an amoral advocate.  The idea being that individuals have the right to access the law and attorneys should provide free access to such a complex tool.  This role is intended to promote the values of individual autonomy, equality and diversity.  And the amoral role is generally seen as good in our society.  I would like you to give me two good arguments for the following:

1. An argument in favor of the amoral role of the lawyer being ethically "good"

2. An argument as to why this role is not "good.".
