A farmer who grew organic cranberries entered into a five-year contract with an organic food market to supply it with "all the cranberries needed, provided they meet buyer's specifications." The contract provided that all cranberries would be purchased under the terms of an attachment to the contract. The attachment specified the various levels of acidity the organic food market needed in the cranberries. It also listed other cranberry farmers from whom the organic food market could purchase cranberries if the farmer's cranberries did not meet the stated specifications. At the end of the first year, the organic food market rejected the cranberries that the farmer tendered as not meeting the stated specifications. The farmer filed a breach of contract action against the organic food market. The organic food market seeks to introduce into evidence the attachment with the cranberry specifications to show that it properly rejected the farmer's cranberries.
