For this graded activity, you will participate in a simulated session with two videos. Using your school counseling training and knowledge, you will describe the RTI process or an evidence-based practice to a teacher in need while also recognizing the family-teacher-counselor collaboration or partnership. You will also utilize your school counseling training and knowledge to support a parent/guardian by recognizing the concerns of the parent/guardian and educators while explaining the purpose of evaluation and IEP processes. You will be given prompts that are meant to help you intentionally develop and practice therapeutic skills necessary to address questions and concerns around the use of information that they have shared.
