Family systems therapy draws on systems thinking in its view of the family as an emotional unit. When systems thinking is applied to families, it suggests behavior is both often informed by and inseparable from the functioning of one's family of origin. For this week, I want you to think about your family and respond to the following: Pretend you have been assigned to counsel your family. How might you go about getting the entire family to come in for counseling? Assume that all agreed to attend one session.
