Can you please help me with this - include at least two peer-reviewed sources, such as journal articles I am copying my draft below
There are two leadership strategies, the one with define and can communicate the vision and the other one is a leader that delegates and empower others. In which these two leadership strategies are still present and relevant in present-day organizations.
There are two leadership strategies - (1)Leader with define and can communicate vision wherein these type of leader has a vision to where the organization will go or will end up. More on long term plans. This vision the leader has motivated him to keep his people working and reached their common goals. This strategy provides the leader and his team the capacity to determine where they are located in the vision and how are they going to work to achieve such a thing.
-This strategy is effective, especially when it's fully explained to the employee and when it is achieved what benefit they can get. An example of this is in Sales once agents reached the quota in business the employer will give them anything in return for their hard work. The vision is the sales quota to be reached.
-This strategy is still relevant in the present-organization especially for those who are engaged in Sales or who have the quota/target that needs to achieve, the leader will provide the vision so that people are guided as to how they will achieve the target.
-The management will fall short in achieving goals if such a leadership style or the leader will not act their role appropriately. If the vision is given but external factors occur that will make them perform the opposite way.
(2) Leader that delegate and empower. This type of leader allows the employee to feel trusted and reliable as the grave of the job entrusted to him or her. This leadership style allows the people under you to decide, strategize how to get things done. The leader should know the capacity of each employee in performing their job to know if the job delegated to him or her will be done perfectly and precisely.
-This strategy will be effective if the goals are properly explained, the process of achieving the delegation of job. Employees entrusted with a certain task will develop a sense of empowerment, will value the trust that is given, and perform the job effectively.
-This strategy is still relevant in an organization especially those who hold a supervisory level in the organization. An example of this is when you are in a retail business (rotisserie) if a situation wherein the business happens to experience spoilage of chicken due to the mismanagement of the crew. The higher management will give the decision making to the supervisor whether to charge the cost to the crew or will just let it past after the incident report and investigation.
-The management alone will fall short in achieving goals if they will let the employee handles the decision making without them knowing and guiding the said decisions.
