The Canada Goose (a.k.a. Aleutian Cackling Goose) consisted of many thriving historic populations until around 1920 when it faced near extinction. Protection by human intervention allowed this endangered species to rebound into large rebound populations. Scientists worry that this new rebound population is not as genetically healthy as the historical population, despite their large numbers. Give two detailed explanations as to why scientists are concerned.
