Question

Eye exams can be frustrating to learn to complete accurately. You will find that you will get better with time and practice. When we look in the eye the first part of the exam is finding the red reflex. The red reflex can help us determine different areas of concerns. As a provider, you will notice different exams and it is important to have differentials for the presentation. What are differentials you would suspect with if your patient presents with an asymmetric red reflex? (Each student may pick one differential. Try not to duplicate if possible, students have already chose: cataract(three times), Retinoblastoma, Strabismus, glaucoma, retinal detachment.) Once you have your differential share the plan you would create for that specific differential and patient. Please include at least one reference within five years (no later than 2019).
