Assignment:
In this activity, you will construct a genogram going back three generations in your family. If you were adopted or grew up in foster care, you can use your birth family, your growing-up family, or both. This is your decision. This is about a trait that may have been passed down through your family. In some families, it may be substance issues or a medical condition such as cancer or diabetes. It can also show a trait of being involved in giving back to the community i.e., working helping profession, education, etc. Think about what you learned about your family.
In addition, you are to think about how this might be useful in your chosen profession.
After completing your genogram, you are to write a narrative about this activity. You are to briefly discuss what you learned about your family (disclose only what you are comfortable with). In addition, you are to construct how a genogram may be useful in your profession.
-PLEASE take a picture of your genogram and upload it - just make sure that it uploads in a way that can be seen.
