Assignment - Informatics Research Paper

This assignment explores an Informatics topic of your own choosing by building on the initial research that you completed in your Topic Proposal & Article Analysis assignment, in order to achieve greater exposure to an Informatics issue or subject that you find important. In researching your topic, build on the concepts presented in the lectures and readings from this class along with the articles that you researched in the previous assignment. Describe your topic of interest and why it is important for Informatics professionals to be familiar with it. Try to build your analysis around a subject that supports your research interests and/or professional goals.

This research paper allows for flexibility in the source material, however sources should be published and of a scholarly or professional nature. Credible sources to consider include online peer-reviewed journals, industry publications and articles, news articles, books and press releases, amongst others.

Your paper must fulfill the following requirements to meet GWAR guidelines:

Length: minimum of 3000 words (approximately 12 pages), not including figures, tables, front/back materials (e.g. cover page, references, appendices)

APA Styling - including text formatting, title page, in-text citations, and reference page.

Utilize at least 8-10 professional articles, books, reviews, e-resources, and/or other relevant industry literature to provide context and analysis.

Textbook - Information Systems for Business and Beyond by David T. Bourgeois, James L. Smith, Shouhong Wang and Joseph Mortati.
