Case: Critical reflection is known as a "meaning-making process" and is an important part of professional practice. Critical self-reflection allows helpers to apply their learning and learn through experience. It is important to consider our own social location, values, assumptions, biases, and beliefs to develop our self-awareness, objectivity and improve helping and counselling skills.
